It's a good frame for the debate over Rights and gun-control though.
Amusing question in the comments: "If the GCA/Brady system doesn't violate the rights of gun owners, then what possible objection could there be to implementing the same system for voting?"Something to that, eh. Except the Vote doesn't result in immediate deaths. It's gotta work its way up through the system first.
