Our Pale Blue Micro-Dot
Is another email from an hombre at work. I'm only guessing that it's accurate but I'm fairly certain that it's at least close.
If anyone has seen this online somewhere, could you let me know? I always like to link the attribution but wasn't provided one with the email.

have you heard of the total perspective vortex?
ReplyDeletethis is exactly like that, except not in virtual reality :)
Hhmmm... Too true.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's missing any connection what-so-ever to Fairy Cake.
mmm mmm...
I love seeing this perspective. Anything that verifies the very smallness of our position in the universe pleases me. Great graphics.
ReplyDeletePuts things at a somewhat different perspective, on one hand.
ReplyDeleteBut then again, the fact we are so small does not make the problems go away,. does it?
Well, hhmmm... A wise man once suggested that a way to wisdom was to "get small".
ReplyDeleteMicrobes seem to have all kinds of problems though, so I'm not sure how wise he actually was. {-;
None-the... Losing the idea that we are the Be-All - End-All of Universal Significance, does seem an important first step for "us" to take as a species.
'Tis all I'm sayin', don't ya know. :)
And I can't say as I'm adverse to a little gettin' small now an' then. {-;
Isn't that cool? I saw it in a flash movie, but I don't remember where it was either. Kind of puts us and our stupid wars in perspective.
ReplyDeleteWell, im not exactly a genius when it comes to science but i love the graphics.
ReplyDeleteA lot of humans seem to think we are the masters of the universe. In truth, we can't even take care of our own environment. And look how tiny we are -- just, as a globe! Forget how tiny and unimportant humans are!
