I agree with the whale. That's my favorite too. :)
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, calamari. Don't let it get overdone!
ReplyDeleteTwo "Deep Seas", Chef!
ReplyDeleteLast time I had deepfried squid I got sick. I know it was the place and time, but the thought of it makes my stomach bubble still.
Enjoy!
Although I'm a fairly adventurous eater, I've just never been a fan of eating anything with tentacles or food that runs the risk of squeaking when chewed. Everybody has their limits.
ReplyDeleteMy grandma used to boil squid and then simmer it in tomato sauce. Her apartment always had a peculiar smell.
ReplyDeleteAre you certain it was the squid, senor?
ReplyDeleteI don't care to eat things that swim in their own poo.
ReplyDeleteSmells are weird things. I LOVED the smell when my 2nd Ex cooked her chicken livers. But the taste? {shudder} I'd guess that that smell was just the Old Country lingering, AgÃ. 'Twas naught to fear, eh. :)

The Squid and the Whale? That was a great movie.
ReplyDeleteOh wait, we're talking about food here...

ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid living in Greece, they caught those things and hung them on a clothesline (with clothes pins!) right there on the restaurant patio by the tables. Weird sight.
AG, :-P
ReplyDeleteTalk about "smells"; I imagine that would've made for.. hhmmm, an interesting one to eat lunch around, eh.
