This has to be one of the best singles ads ever printed. It is reported to have been listed in the Atlanta Journal.
SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good girl who LOVES to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights lying by the fire. Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I'll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me. Call (404) 875-6420 and ask for Daisy, I'll be waiting....

Over 15,000 men found themselves talking to the Atlanta Humane Society about an 8-week-old black Labrador retriever.

  1. I remember reading about this.
Your website is better laid out than mine. You are very good at it.
Isn't Cleveland where Harvey Pekar of American Spendor lives?

  4. Thanks Eddie! I've wrecked the "place" several times trying to get a look and feel I think enhances my words AMAP.

And a number of people's artistic input has been much appreciated, even if not always employed.

As is my life, Silly Humans is a work in progress, and it shall, quite likely, be so 'til its demise.

I'm glad BG knew of Pekar. I don't know the name so Googled him just now. Looks like his blog's last entry was back in October '03. Left on a fairly profound mundanity: (Per rats as pets) It just goes to show you that just about any creature can be a friend to humankind with the right upbringing.

I've known some rat pets, and they're even smarter and cooler than guinea piggers.

    Coolish

  5. Precious!

I had a pet rat before and I have guinea pigs now. The pigs are cuter but I have to say that rat was damned smart. I think my brother poisoned him.

They are pretty smart. I wonder if as smart as rats...

Prolly all depends 'pon the species and personality of the individual critter; kinda like folk.
