Karma

Not that I'm a believer or anything...

But I have noticed that I get out what I put in, for the most part.

Along the same lines, thank you Tonya, for this reminder:

Nothing others think of you will ever make you happy, only what you think of yourself.

  2. I shamefully admit that I don't get the tattoo thing. Can't help feeling there's a strong message there, that just flew by me.
    Forgive an ignoramus foreigner...

But that profound sentence about what makes you happy is indeed true, and a very good thing to bear in mind at times of self-doubt.

  3. I kinda get the tattoo thing. Especially in light of various cultural traditions where the marking of the skin has tribal, religious, cultural, or even superstitious associations.

The history of tattooing is fascinating, I think. For example, some upperclass victorian women in england were quite heavily tattooed under those heavy bodices.

It is a permanent statement. Which can either be a good thing or a bad thing.. depending on time and perspective.

I was in a tattoo shop once, and a young guy in the shop was getting a huge tattoo of a vicious looking wolf smoking a huge joint on his right shoulder.

My initial thought was - "You are going to regret that one buddy."

  4. Iree*, Mary!

No need for shame nor forgiveness, Nava mi 'miga. Such social devices are really only needed for for transgressions which cause pain, never, IMO, for simple differences of taste and opinion.

Please note the Title of the linked page before deciding to view the whole vid. Is from the amazingly talented director of the "Youtoobers" vid which I posted the other day. I emailed him my thanks and admiration and he thanked me with an invite to watch this vastly more Dark and compelling - or repellant as the case may be - creation.

I found it hard to view, but well worth it for the Need and Call for Forgiveness in the closing moments.

Ms. Itsme does a kickin'ly cool job of briefly synopsizin' Tatoonery for us; including incidentally explaining my mention of my not being a "believer". Is Art pour moi, and stylistic audacity on a minor scale.

    May all depend 'pon whom he marries, eh Beep? She might have Ink that makes even his wolfie look tame in comparison! {-;

    * My first Wikipedia edit!!! :-) All I did was add the spelling of Iree which I believe to be more popular amongst the Rastas I've known.

You can be an atheist and believe in Karma. For that matter you really don't have to believe in Karma it's there with or without belief. Everyone knows it.
