Quote of the Day: Testify!

"Every day there are thousands of good, loyal Americans who stand in courtrooms, raise their right hand and swear to tell to truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, and are proud to do it... It is amazing that thousands of ordinary Americans can do it, but they are kind of special and they don't have to."
Sen Patrick Leahy, VT

  1. Interesting that the administration feels as if it has nothing to hide, but hides. ; (

  2. I don't think Rover's crack is that big yet. At least not the one on the statue. I'll believe they're 'nuff Congress-critters with democratic integrity to expose this wound when it's being treated with nanopolitech.

    I'd sure like to see that $ucker fall...

  3. It's a forgone conclusion that he will lie under oath. I wonder if they will call him on it right then and there or will they wait and send the hounds after him later.

    Uh uh... Executive Privilege, Spineless Politicos, Rock the boat but don't tip the boat over, blah, blah, freakin' blah, blah, blah. ..

    Maybe they're afraid of what they'll learn from Turdblossom and have to Impeach his boss. Couldn't have that now, could we?

    You want a coffee or a coke or somethin' while you're waiting there, Bossy? We're serving water, wine and Guinness too, if yer interested.

    Would that there were one, Ethel. Would that there were. . . {sighhh}
    Cuz it sure doesn't look like our Critters are gonna do their bit in the constitutional balancing act.

  7. The only problem is he may land and crush the people pulling him.

    The one thing Congress can't relent on is the oath aspect. I actually think it might be beneficial to do these testimonials in private -- it would avoid looking like this is a politically motivated attack, but the testimony would still be legally binding.

    Let's get some popcorn started because now that he has to testify--the show is going to be good.

  9. Most people take an oath and have nothing to hide. Not the story with this administration. They have so damned much to hide the word "oath" scares the bejeezus out of them.

  10. I like the in private idea as long as it's recorded in private and kept in neutral/mutual control.

    One cold Guinness Draft comin' up. :)

    I wonder Oath our Presidential chimpsters have sworn themselves to uphold.
