Facebook has kinda taken over my online time.

2) Kiss Destroyer did exactly what it was supposed to do for a gangly, self-conscious pre-adolescent kid whose voice hadn't even started changing yet. Just wish I would've had a stage coach when I sang "Beth" in that 5th grade talent show. Hands clasped behind m' back did doom me.
3) Jefferson Starship Earth had an album cover to get lost within and, aside from some really groovy pop tracks, a couple of classic Jams to help me not care to be found again.
4) Alice Cooper Goes to Hell Yah... prolly shouldn't have got sooooo drunk on this one as a kid, But the thought of a girl who wouldn't tell me "I love you, but like a brother..."
YIKES!!! lol! D'oh!
No wonder I've seen so many shrinks... {shudder}
5) Barry Manilow Trying to Get the Feeling came to my awareness around the same time. Wow! Yah... I kissed more girls before I knew HOW to kiss than I did in all of HS. {shakin'head}
6) Queen A Night at the Opera Ahhhh... the sealing of the deal that my life would be about teh melodrama.
7) Kiss "Alive II" Simple, hooky songs made powerful by Volume and crowd noise. SHOUT IT OUT LOUD! Hellz ya!
8) Queen A Day at the Races Heh! Because I may be schizoidal but I'm still a Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy. Drowse has especially stayed with thru' the years.
9) Jeff Beck "There and Back" This one reminded me what a guitar could Really do! And no lyrics to add to my substantial 16 yo internal confusions.
10) Todd Rungren Hermit of Mink Hollow As BG pointed out, All The Children Sing! This album really got me writing song lyrics.
11) The Who Hooligans All I can see is that I listened to this on A LOT. Probably "Bargain" is still my favorite Who jam. Hmmm... well that, Baba O'Reiley and a live version of Won't Get Fooled Again from the mid 80s.
12) The Cars The Cars and Candy O at the same time! Got 'em both for my 14th. So many classics. So little homework getting done!
13) Yes Fragile My cousin Hed first led me down this trail of artful prog rock. Thanks amigo! Talk about "mind expanding"!
14) Iron Maiden Piece of Mind Honestly, I think if I hadn't discovered yes first, Maiden's guitar work might have slipped past my awareness. Until I heard this album, metal was more about the pop-boppers for me. These guys were Real Musicians making music with the kind of edge I'd only heard from the likes of Kiss, Aerosmith and Led Zep, and taking it to an entirely other level. Fans can argue they had better albums, but this is the one that opened the genre to me. Awesome. Truly.
One spot left, huh... Alrighty then.
15) Pearl Jam 10 Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit may indeed have kicked the lid off the Grunge explosion, but this album got me playing guitar again after about a 5 year hiatus. Wondering what the next one will be. I'm be slumpin'...
