just this once
nevermore and only
unless because
because well
you know
what if I didn't

what if I didn't take that chance
and I was left
yet again
hanging in the wind
the cold
the emptiness of being
me
alone
as usual

and then again
I feel that I'll change
I don't
I don't have any reason
for that feeling
maybe it's just hope
that shit I won't abandon

even on the edge
so far away now
so far away

Very Cool!

But it's far from anywhere near to enough to make me vote for him since he's retreated from supporting women's rights over their own bodily processes.

Still, my point in posting this clip is that it seems that the Democratic Party has offered it as a reason to NOT vote for Romney. Umm... Huh? A moderate and rational stance on Gun Rights and the 2nd Amendment is a bad thing???

Silence

I'm so fucking messed up. I mean, sure, most of us are to some extent. I know that. I'm just more so and further along then most "normal" crazy people.

Even explaining that makes it seem enormously apparent.

C'est la fucking vie.

I can't help this longing

and I wanted to believe ...

I need a white wave.

That Bird Don't Fly

I've really nothing personal to pass on here. Just wanted to post some fun and frustratin'.

Maybe more tomorrow.

A Happy Holiday to all y'all U.S. Americans, and good luck on Saturday's Election Day to all my friends Down Under.

John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's
mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity.

John tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to "clean up" the bird's vocabulary. Finally, John was fed up and he
yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder. John, in desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer.

For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute. Fearing that he'd hurt the parrot, J ohn quickly opened the door to the
freezer.

The parrot calmly stepped out onto John's outstretched arms and said "I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I'm sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior."

John was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude. As he was about to
ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the
bird continued, "May I ask what the turkey did?"

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

ego distended

...in vainglory
emptied of all but life's shade
...gladly let go by the way

sadly informed
...of madness in grey
and spectral colors

...lonely for all
and slept in
...unatoned, bereft

seduced by others'
...realities long lost
vacant and unadorned

...simplicity answers
mocking
...in the know and smug

lest somehow
...somewhere
......everything falls into place

and I breathe again
...still yet to sample
the silence of forever

As If We Didn't Know...

Thing of it is is, no matter how we treat our planet, Nature itself is gonna go through her paces without any regard what-so-ever to our survival needs.
-----Challenge for policymakers-----

Carbon dioxide emissions from fires pose a significant challenge as policymakers focus on limiting greenhouse gases because of concerns over climate change. Some jurisdictions, such as California, have not yet decided whether to include wildfire emissions when setting targets to reduce greenhouse gases.

The impacts of fires on climate change are complex and difficult to predict. Long after a fire sweeps through an area, new vegetation over the course of several decades to a century may absorb as much carbon dioxide as was released during the blaze. But fires are likely to become more frequent and widespread as temperatures warm around much of the globe, which means that more carbon dioxide may be released into the atmosphere. The fires could complicate government efforts to rely on forests to help absorb carbon dioxide.
Seems to me, we need to be a little more careful, eh. Nature is incapable of consideration. We, presumably, are not.

What You Sayin', Rudy?

PUBLIC DIPLOMACY PRESS AND BLOG REVIEW, NOVEMBER 6-7

“They talk about sleep deprivation. I mean, on that theory, I'm getting tortured running for president of the United States.”

--GOP presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani, mocking those who condemn torture of any kind; cited in Richard Cohen, “Rudy's Torture Talk” (Washington Post, November 6)
[Link]

It's either A: He thinks he's just like all the other supposed Terrorists which the U.S. apprehends, or B: He has absolutely No Desire to be President, and is being forced, against his will, to run for that august position.

Otherwise, and this is with an extraordinarily obvious Of Course, Teh Mayor is simply being yet another disingenuous Pol.

Go figure...

Separation

It would so easy
to just go there
to just lie down there
to just be there

Oh! It would be so easy
to just embrace it
to just ignore it
to just linger in the absence

And it would be so easy

to fly all the way
to fly any way

to fly so far away

Now, it isn't easy
but I am here
we are here

they will always be here
where we all are

until we're not

So I'll just, I guess, do what I have to do
Maybe sometimes, one can hope, it'll actually make some kind of sense...

Sorry I've been so scarce lately. And absent from y'all's blogs as well. Let's just blame it on autumn, eh. Autumn and the loneliness of finding one thing just to lose another.

Good news is that I'm still sans daily dosing, AND that I scored some Brown's tics for yesterday's OT win over my long-time 2nd favorite team; the Seattle Seahawks. Browns 33, Seahawks 30. Got to treat my youngest bro to his first game at the new digs, too. AWESOME on almost all counts.

Anyhow, I'll most likely get back up to speed. Both viewin' and doin'. There's been a Lot of Politics to be disgusted about, but, while I've thought of much to say/write/do about it, I've mostly just been working hard, long days and coming home to vegetate. Oh... nevermind.

Take care and have a blast (figuratively, but of course) in the mean time.
