whydoesithavetostartsosoon?????????????

It can take a while, but he'll get over it* . . .

Sorry I've been so silent 'round the 'sphere y'all. I've saved a few drafts but have mostly been bouncing some things around up in me ol' silly noggin'. Plus the new shuffle and some paperback SF pulp have lent pleasantly to some of the normal, more irritating preoccupations of that organ.

Inquiries are appreciated muchly, but I'm fine. Really. And I promise to be comin' around again.

Recovery

The months go by
And I don't think of you
The signal is frail
An imprint of what you do

So I turn up the sound
And you are nowhere
I have learnt this
To my cost

But I maintain
In the slow lane
I maintain
In the slow lane

The scent goes by
Still I smell of you
You say I cry
At the merest thought of you
So you let me down
To laugh at nothing
I have learnt this
For myself

But I maintain
In the slow lane
I maintain
In the slow lane

So I turn up the sound
And you are nowhere
I have learnt this
To my cost

But I maintain
In the slow lane
I maintain
In the slow lane

Turn down the sound
You are nowhere
You let me down
To laugh at nothing

I have learnt this
To my cost
I have learnt this
For myself

  1. I've been pretty out of it myself. So have some of my other favorite bloggers. It's that damn global warming, I tells ya!

  2. Ya know, yer probably right on that, Kevin. I'll go further and blame Al Gore for not announcing his candidacy yet.

And, of course, that means that all of our woes are Bill Clinton's fault.

    hmm... Hang in there amigo!

  5. Hey MB! I figured you were just resting or trying to sort through things. Me too, just down southeast of you!

Cute little cartoon, but kind of sad cuz it's true.

Can you believe the 9 million feet of snow we got? Geez. Definitely more than a little spring snow -- that's for sure.

  6. Dig it on the Snow-bounded situation, BG. What the . . . ? Ahh, but it's April and 'tis a month that requires well, patience, I guess.

Hey! At least they didn't TP y'all's house the night just before the temp bottomed out! BK would've never been able to tell the TP from the snow!

  8. We just want you back (I say with a top hat on my head and playing cards with a beaver-looking creature).

  9. I am most certain this weather is not helping. Dyeing eggs with 10 inches of snow outside just didn't seem natural last night. But I do believe the wind will soon change to warm again, and sweep away this dark winter so many of us have had.

    Peace,
    MM
